Neck or back pain with sitting at your desk? Most of us changed our work space over the last year. I have been seeing more clients with pains due to sitting at their desk for too long or not having a proper at home set up. Here are a few tips to look out for in order to help with your set up.

  1. Make sure the computer screen is in line with your eyes. You do not want to be looking up or down at a screen causing neck tension.

  2. Your arms should be resting at 90 deg. If you do not have proper arm rests, use pillows to allow your arms to be at 90 deg. It should not lift your shoulders up. Your upper body should be relaxed.

  3. Have your feet grounded on the floor. Your feet should not be dangling. If the chair is too high to not have your feet flat, place something underneath to bring the ground up to you.

Most importantly, do not sit or stand for too long. Set alarms to remind you to move during the day.
